When I first saw these barefoot sandals on Pinterest
I knew I had to make a pair or two. They were just so pretty. Then I read the
pattern and thought oh my, it looks complicated but as it turns out they are
pretty easy to make and quick.

pattern. You can find it HERE.
I’ve also included the pattern down below because I
want to show you how I spread the instructions out to make it easier for me to
follow. You may prefer the traditional way crochet patterns are written in
which case you can go directly to the designer’s page HERE.

Crochet
Thread
Hook
– Size E
Abbreviations
ch – chain
dc
– double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl
st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
trc
cluster – treble crochet cluster stitch – flower petal
· *Wrap the yarn around the hook 2 times
· Insert the hook in the stitch
· Yarn over and pull up a loop through the stitch, 4 loops on the
hook.
· Yarn over and pull through 2 loops (3 loops remaining on hook)
· Yarn over and pull through another 2 loops (2 loops remaining on
hook)
· Repeat * * 3 more times.
· Yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on hook
Instructions
Row
1
· ch 5, join with a sl st to first ch to form a ring.
Row 2
· ch 3 (counts as first stitch of trc cluster), make 1 trc
cluster, ch 3
· *1 trc cluster, ch 5
· 1 trc cluster, ch 3*
· *repeat 2 more times
· sl st to top of beginning trc cluster
· (6 trc clusters; 3 ch 3 sps, 3 ch 5 sps)
Row 3
· ch 1, *3 sc in ch 3 sp,
· ch 3
· 3 dc, ch 5, 3 dc (in ch 5 sp)
· ch 3*
· *repeat 2 more times
· sl st to top of beginning sc
· (3 ch 5 sps, 6 ch 3 sps)
Row 4
· ch 2 (counts as first sc), 1 sc in next 2 stitches
· *3 sc in ch 3 sp
· ch 1
· 3 sc, ch 5, 3 sc (in ch 5 sp)
· ch 1
· 3 sc in next ch 3 sp
· 3 sc in next 3 stitches*
· *repeat 2 more times
· sl st to top of beginning sc
· (3 ch 5 sps)
Row 5
Watch for special instructions
for toe opening.
· ch 2 (counts as first sc), 1 sc in next 2 stitches
· ch 3
· 1 sc in next 3 stitches
· ch 3
· 1 sc in next 3 stitches
· ch 3
· 3 sc, ch 5, 3 sc, (in ch 5 sp)
· ch 3
· *1 sc in next 3 stitches
· ch 3*
· * repeat 4 more times
· In corner: 3 sc, ch 5, 3 sc, ch 3
· Repeat from *
· When going to the final corner (toe), ch 12 instead of 5 to make
the opening for your toe
· continue 3 sc, ch 3, back to beginning sc
· sl st to beginning sc
· fasten off
· weave in ends
· (6 ch 3 sps on each side, 2 ch 5 sps, 1 ch 12 sp)
Ties
· with right side facing you, attach thread to corner, ch 100
· fasten off, weave in ends
· repeat for other side.
Embellish
· Add a bead or button to the center of the flower.
